Greetings All

Many new things going on and, for those of you who like to be keep informed, here a some of the latest happenings.

-----------------------------------------------
Lotto Buster 2010 Version Now Available:
You ask for it, you got it.

The single largest request we have had from our users is the elimination of needing the Cd in the Cd drawer when Lotto Buster is launched.
The Cd was required by Lotto Buster because it contains huge amounts of data that would take up more hard disk space then many home computers had to spare.

We have re-engineered Lotto Buster so that it will move required data from the Cd to the data bases on your hard drive when it is needed.
Eventually, your data bases will contain all the data and files required for your games and the Cd will no longer needed.
Field beta testers are reporting that after four to five uses they no longer require the Cd unless they make changes to their database setup.

Additionally, LB2010 data bases have been restructured to accommodate the many new features we have mapped out for the future.
The first of these features will be released in as little as three weeks and new ones added every two to three weeks thereafter.

-----------------------------------------------
Some Important Things About Installing Lotto Buster 2010:
Databases:
As mentioned earlier, Lotto Buster 2010 databases use a more advanced file structure.
When you Install LB2010 it will search for existing databases and prompt you as to whether or not you wish to use them with LB2010.
Those databases you select will be copied to you LB2010 directory and updated with the new features.

This update will only occur only if you are updating from Lotto Buster 2002.
It is a onetime update that occurs only on the initial update from Lb2002.

For those of you with large hard drives this procedure may take several minutes so please be patient.
For those of you with custom built data bases, we strongly suggest you back them up to removable media (floppy disk or Cd) BEFORE you install LB2010.
Your data bases are located in your Lotto Buster 2002 directory and have the file extension '.rdb'.

Registered Users:
For the fastest and easiest install, we STRONGLY advise that you place your Lotto Buster Cd in your Cd drawer, prior to beginning installation of Lotto Buster 2010.
The Lotto Buster Cd should be left in the Cd Drawer during the entire update install and not removed prior to you initial launch of LB20010.

If you are a registered user, failure to have the Lotto Buster Cd in the Cd Rom drawer during install may result in an install failure.

-----------------------------------------------
Lotto Buster 2010 Is A Free Update:
As promised, we do not charge for updates unless they require the use of an update Cd.
We have worked long and hard to insure that, despite the massive changes, the registered version of LB2010 will run from the Lb2002 Cd.
In fact, we do not even plan on mastering a new Cd in the foreseeable future.

So, before you go bananas, LB2010 is free and is designed to run from the LB2002 Cd.

What's Next?
We have already begun the initial programming for the next set of enhancements.
Based on volume by user request, the first major items on the board are:
  • More control over the quick pickers.
  • Ability to select multiple sets using Quick Pickers.
  • A "power search" that will allow the selection of numbers meeting user defined criteria.

Look for the first of these updates to go to beta testing within the next several weeks.
